The group of Prof. Dr. Katharina Imkeller at the Neurological Institute (Edinger Institute) – University Hospital Frankfurt is recruiting a student assistant to work in an exciting and interdisciplinary environment and directly contribute to our current research projects.

Your Role:

  • Processing of biological samples for different muli-omic analysis workflows
  • Tissue sectioning, tissue dissociation and single-cell isolation
  • Applying different immunohistochemical and immunofluorescent staining protocols
  • Participation in research projects in cooperation with other members of the team
  • General tasks for the organization of the laboratory (ordering, training, maintenance)

... ist Ihr Profil gefragt

  • Student in biology, bioinformatics od Biochemistry
  • You have experience in one or more of the following fields: tumor immunology, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, molecular biology, next-generation sequencing, and single-cell/spatial transcriptomics.
  • You have strong interest in immunology or cancer biology.
  • Motivation to acquire further skills and contribute to the development of new methods.
  • Fluency in English language and good computer skills. German language skills are beneficial.
  • Due to legal regulations, valid proof of measles immunity / measles vaccination is required
